Hobbies:

• Reading, mainly tech, philosophy, and psychology books. Favorites include “《Hackers and Painters》”, “《The Courage to Be Disliked》”, etc.
• Japanese dramas: “April Story”, “Love Letter”, “Swallowtail Butterfly”, “Quartet”, “Legal High”, “The White Tower”, etc.
• TV Games: “Persona 5”, “The Last of Us”, “Final Fantasy 7 & 13”, etc.

Tech Stack:

• iOS (Objective-C & Swift)
  • Built over a dozen apps of various sizes, then transitioned to backend development.
  • Although I no longer work on iOS, I can still build apps for personal use when needed.
• Golang
  • Switched to Golang at ByteDance. I quite like this language for its simplicity and efficiency.
• Rust
  • Rust is indeed a great choice for those unfamiliar with C++.
  • Built an IM chat application demo with Rust, and the experience was quite good. It’s a solid choice for performance-critical scenarios.
• Languages are just tools, neither good nor bad. But knowing multiple tools helps you appreciate their differences and value in different scenarios.
• I believe in the “Feynman Technique”: understanding something yourself doesn’t mean you truly understand it; you only truly understand it when you can teach others. So technical discussions are always welcome.

Other:

• This blog is mainly for summarizing technologies I’ve learned and pitfalls I’ve encountered. The articles represent my personal understanding, and I welcome any corrections or feedback.

I don’t fear criticism; I welcome it. What I share here is just the latest page in my learning journey. My learning process involves learning through direct experience and research, writing down what I’ve learned, then having smart people review and critique it to “stress test” it, discussing our differences to further refine it.
